The benefactor

“Who are you then? - I am part of that power which eternally wills evil and eternally works good.”
Bulgakov’s “The Master and Margarita” starts with this exact quote from Goethe’s “Faust”. The quote that questions the relationship of good and evil in which Satan, in a world that invokes the devil and curses any and all possibilities of holiness (because the general tragedy of existence is not able to bear even the thought of something holy existing in people), is almost forced to play the role of the benefactor, multiplying it through human beings, which immediately negates any sense in the existence of any act, let alone an act of good, because the very subject of the benefactor has been betrayed. In addition, malefaction becomes an extremely probable and very often the underlying activity of human beings, surrendered to them by that false benefactor who, together with the people who accept this false role, now belongs to this world. In fact, just like any living man, he is the world, and by extension, he is his banal and absurd face, too.
Indeed – hell is not somewhere else, nor has it ever been. It has always been within us and around us, the hell of existence in an upside-down world. In a world ruled by behaviour and acts worthy of insanity; worthy of complete insanity, especially when one considers the very clear inevitability of our narrow and limited (both spatially and temporally) existence on a rock called Earth, which is quite gently kept warm by the star or the sun named the Sun, a rock on which we are trapped and which we cannot leave. Those few jumps on the Moon, something that is also often questioned, were indeed just a small step for one or two men and not a giant leap for mankind, not really - all it was was a demonstration of power. We can clearly see today the state all our accomplishments and acts have resulted in (despite the numerous potentials of other kinds which never got the limelight before the glamour of instantaneousness and backwardness, i.e. the planned stagnation of any kind of progress under the veil of entertaining, shallow, dumb app boom that adds one icon at a time to the same substance, thereby leaving it in an illusion of progress) – in a state that transcends even the potentially eternal agony of hell itself, in all its centuries-old interpretations and depictions.
We are not living in heaven and prosperity, none of us who have declined to play the role of the false benefactor of the wicked devil, the shapeshifter, the deceiver live that way. Nor do the few ostensible rulers of our destinies, the so-called elites who are eagerly trying to control the reality, the future (by exerting terror in the present, which is a completely logical choice of moves on their behalf), even the sky itself, whether that means threatening us in a metaphorical sense or firing down on us from predator drones - how terrifying that sounds - almost bringing tears of fear to our eyes. They have overestimated our fear, yes, they have forgotten about our survival instinct, but nothing more than that. They are all petty souls who, undoubtedly, aim to rule, using other people, and who act only in an attempt to benefit themselves. We find them in all kinds of institutions, from families to government structures, and they all have in common the desire to manipulate other people. They are a minority, but they are a far cry from the false benefactors of the Truth because the damage their deeds do is still visible and is, unfortunately, very much felt by their victims. Who then are those who have managed to completely copy the actions of false benefaction, which had to have been, as Goethe so beautifully puts it, first conducted by the aforementioned Devil himself? Who are those who have managed to skillfully cover their false benefaction from others and successfully present it as truth? And by doing so, stands to reason, they have become the Devil incarnate. What is this elite of the damn elite that has managed to turn the world upside-down by selling a cheap lie as the truth to the rest of the world which doesn’t even question this Truth and the false truths that describe it and form it, keeping in the hellish state we’re currently in.
It seems that god has survived. There is no doubt that God has survived too because many people form Him and are spreading His word. It is the man who is dead! This begs the question, what kind of God or god are we talking about here since its only witness is dead? Or is, if nothing else, alive only in the lie of doing false good deeds, meaning at the mercy, in the domain of the forced “Benefactor”, since the one who the “definition” states should be doing Good is not present. This means that the man is in the domain of the one he did not curse but who he, on the contrary, has been invoking. All of this sounds a bit too fantastic, we can agree on that, but the developments in this world are more than comparable to Satanistic deeds, no matter what the sources describing these deeds are. We have direct and literal malefactions, already in mass quantities, and then there’s the constant dirty propaganda that serves not just to justify those deeds but to reward them, i.e. declare them to be good deeds. In this world, even despite undeniable evidence, freedom fighters are declared terrorists, people protesting plundering of their own lives become punching bags, often killed, labeled as savages and bullies because they want to survive, whereas murderers of young children and civilians are hailed as heroes, even heroes from the shadows, some of them even receiving Nobel prizes. Pedophiles are not being charged, not if they come from “God’s institution”, anyway, and the robbers of whole nations and countries (such as the IMF, for example) are nothing but saviors, bringers of hope, even though they destroy everything in their path, both they and similar private corporations. The examples of twisted truths have no end. Equally insane is the ease with which these lies are defended and fabricated, as well as the way they turn into truths, at least formally, but in a sufficient measure. It is obvious that those who have committed genocide against the Palestinians, those who have forgotten what Greece and Croatia are, i.e. people who used to be at the helm of those countries, still freely walk publicly all over the world after robbing those countries and continue with their lethal good deeds undisturbed.
But it seems that the Devil is dead, too! In a certain way; he is not needed as an exclusive figure representing evil and evil acts because people, although it is difficult to say who and how many of them, have taken over this role completely. In the end, an imaginable end, since evil acts are inevitably present everywhere because they are commonplace, they spread as wildfire. Even good people defend themselves from evil-doers by committing evil deeds, one way or another, so what is left is utter chaos, violence, and conflicts everywhere. The only question is whether we are right when we say that this commonplace evil, the evil that needs no root, no reason because all reasons and the possible solutions have been exhausted, has begun to completely take over our already false reality. This reality has been counterfeited through all false good deeds and false truths. What is left is the myth. The myth of truth. The myth of the “Benefactor”, whether he is a part of the force that eternally strives for good or of the force that wishes for eternal evil because what is being done is evil.
What is left is the myth. The myth of the man. And the myth of the few, let’s call them the elite of the elite, who act through Corporations and are hiding behind the hordes of smaller devils, petty souls, and sellouts who work for them and them alone. They, this elite of the elite, this handful of traitors of humankind, don’t have a face. They are the commonplace evil, and their plan of ruling over the rest of the people in this world is truly a plan of psychopaths and sociopaths. They have completely taken over the role played by the Devil in Goethe’s “Faust” while he was more noticeable. It is clear that, in a world like this, capital is one of their most important weapons. However, they speak from the position of “knowledge” (the kind of knowledge that can be reduced to something akin to the knowledge they strictly declare to be the kind of knowledge that can help the “progress” and which is spread like a gospel, all as a part of carefully crafted manipulation and lies), they speak from a position of truncated intellect (always claiming that the spirit of any kind is in the category of the non-existent; always claiming that every piece of work is nothing more than a forgery of the original), and wrap everything up through convictions that are on the same level as dogmas. Everything is relayed through information, of course, but this information is actually clear instructions that over time become a kind of orders, with unavoidable interpretations (constantly-repeating suggestions) of what it means to do good, even if that means common and absurd crimes.
So maybe we should ask ourselves: “Who are we, in the end? Oh right, the ones who don’t want anything, who don’t know what they’re doing, but are doing a lot of evil. We are the false benefactor, the one who has taken over the role of the dead devil - we are human!”
